Naval Academy Class of 2019

I was appointed USNA Prep School.

Just got the best Valentine gift ever from the Dean of Admissions of The United States Naval Academy. I will be attending the United States Naval Academy Preparatory School.

I was accepted to the United States Naval Academy Prep School in Newport Rhode Island.

The Naval Academy Preparatory School (NAPS) is located on Naval Station Newport in historic Newport, Rhode Island. The Naval Academy Preparatory School is the Navy’s fourth oldest school; only the Naval Academy, Naval War College, and Naval Post Graduate School are older.

The mission of the Naval Academy Preparatory School is to enhance midshipman candidates’ moral, mental, and physical foundations to prepare them for success at the U.S. Naval Academy. The ten-month course of instruction at NAPS, lasting from August through May, emphasizes preparation in English Composition, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Information Technology.

As long as I complete the program successfully, I admitted directly to USNA for the Class of 2019.

After attending my candidate visit weekend at Naval Academy in the Fall, I learned a lot about Prep program and in all honestly I really wanted to attend the prep program first. I know the extra 10 months of academic work will help me exceed at the academy. Every cadet that went to program talk about how great it was, so I can’t wait to leave this summer.

Now it’s time to enjoy my last 4 1/2 months of school, family, and friends.

My dream has come true. Thank you to all my friends, family, and supporters for encouraging me and believing in me.
