On Friday, I led the Yucaipa High School Color Guard at the Grand Opening to El Dorado Ranch Park in Yucaipa. It was amazing 300+ acre park in Yucaipa in the foothills before Oak Glen. It was a nice surprise when Matt Knox, Congressman Paul Cook, District Coordinator, congratulated me for my recent nomination to the academies at the event.

It was a busy day today. Right after school I had to attend Yucaipa City Council meeting I was going to be introduced to the City Council as of the Youth Representatives that was appointed to the Youth Advisory Group. This could be the start to my future political career. I think Andrew Samaniego, Mayor of Yucaipa has a nice ring.
After I finished my meeting at City Council I rushed to Boys Scout Troop 11 Winter Court of Honor. I MC the final court of honor for the year where recognize rank advancements, merit badges, and we even had the troop elections for our next Senior Patrol Leader.
I was awarded my Silver Bronze Award and received 4 merit badges.
I grab this morning paper and saw this article about the Youth Advisory Committee that I was appointed last Monday.
This is going to be a quick post because I have a ton of calculus homework to finish this evening and do some studying for my ACT exam this Saturday.
I just got back from Yucaipa City Council meeting and found out I was appointed to the Yucaipa Youth Commission for the City of Yucaipa for the 2013-2014 Term.
I am looking forward to learning more about the City and helping with youth issues in the City. I have a couple ideas I hope to get implemented while on the commission.
Well, that’s all for today. Off to do my AP Calculus homework.
