I finally got a copy of the Redlands Daily Facts where I was building a fire during the Super Scout competition. While building the fire I had to take my shirt off to block the wind from blowing out the fire. Fortunately, I was the first to burn the rope and win the overall competition.

This is our 3rd Eagle Project this month with Troop 11. This project was led by Alex Bottenberg. We painted the teen center at City of Yucaipa. I just realized this is my final Eagle Project I will participate in prior to leaving scouting.
This was second Eagle project this month with my troop. My friend, Brett Everst, completed his Eagle Project at Unity of Yucaipa Church. We built a rock and succulence garden that was the final part of another Eagle Project we did a Labyrinth, last year led by Ventura Wilson.
Just finished up doing a Troop 11 Eagle Project, led by Colin Norris at Yucaipa Equestrian Center.
Last month, I competed in my final Boy Scout Camporee called Pop Nye with my Troop 11. I was a member of the Ice Hawk Patrol and had a great time and was really proud how the young Ice Hawks competed. They even earned the presidential award which means they scored at least 90% in every category.
I also got a chance to compete in the Super Scout competition and I finally won this competition. It was something I wanted to earn before leaving boy scouts program in couple months. Here was recent article that was posted in the Redlands Daily Facts.
We had our pre-pop nye training and Chili Cookoff this weekend. I was teaching the scouts map and compass. It was a great 3 day campout. I got to give out the Rhino Presentation award to the Ice Hawk Patrol. Congradulations to Icehawks.

Today, my dad drove me up to Apple Valley to do my congressional nomination interview with Congressman Paul Cook’s office. There were 3 military representatives along with a local community leader and a member of Congressman Cook. I felt good after the interview and they said we should find out the results in a few weeks.
So now I am finally finished with applying and interviewing to 5 Service Academies, 9 colleges and two ROTC scholarship interviews.
The waiting game has begun and now it’s time for him to just enjoy that last 6 months of high school.
It has been an amazing ride being the Senior Patrol Leader for my Boy Scout Troop. Over this last year I was in charge of the entire troop of roughly 60-80 scouts throughout the year.
I gave my final farewell speech as the Senior Patrol Leader. I was a bit winded when I started my speech. I started right after I finished my, Dance Revolution Skit, but I catch my breath after few minutes.
I was humble by the standing ovation I got from the scouts and parents.
Thank you Boy Scouts of America and especially to Redlands Troop 11.
I will always be here for you!
“Oh Wow, Oh Wow, Oh Wow!”
Earning your Eagle Scout award is a huge accomplishment that I earned in November 2012, but I felt what is as important is those parent volunteers that help you become an Eagle Scout
Almost 11 months ago, I made a goal that no one knew about, it was just after I had become Senior Patrol Leader of my troop back in January 2013.
My goal was to become an”Eagle Mentor” to a scout who becomes an Eagle Scout. No one knew about that goal except me. I wanted to have an influence on another Eagle Scout. I was almost certain you had to be adult to earn the award. So I knew it could take a few years before I you could earn that honor.
On Sunday I was attending my friend Jonathan Stanley Eagle Court of Honor in Redlands. I was totally caught off guard while he was presenting his “Eagle Mentor” pins he called me up to be recognized.
I was completed honored and humbled by Jonathan.
Thank you Jonathan, you are a great Eagle Scout, and I know you will be a mentor to many future Eagle Scouts.
I got message from my Dad that the Air Force Academy wanted to moved up my interview date from January to next week to be considered under their early notification program.
I am here at the Naval Academy having amazing time at candidate visit weekend.
I get home tomorrow, I have speech on Sunday at church and then I am attending my friends, Jonathon Stanley, Eagle Court of Honor on Sunday.
Today I had a chance to go to the Musem of Tolerance in Los Angeles. My dad has always wanted me to go and we finally had to go with my family and my Boy Scout Troop.
It was an eye opening experience. It was like it brought our history books to life.
If you have never been, you have to go.
